Please be sure to fill out all fields in the application. The application is for the individual who is volunteering, parents if you are filling this out for your child, please use their name and date of birth. Each person must have a separate account and email.
We accept volunteers 11 and up, with minors 11-13 years old accompanied by an adult.
All adults, 18 and up, are required to submit authorization for a background check.
On-boarding process is as follows:
-Submit application for volunteering
-Once all forms have been submitted, processed, and if the volunteer applicant is deemed a good fit for The DoSeum, the Volunteer Services Coordinator will contact the potential volunteer for an interview.(Interviews are scheduled Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3:00pm-5:00pm. Exceptions may be made based on availability of Volunteer Services Coordinator)
After the interview, the volunteer will be scheduled to attend the next upcoming New Volunteer Orientation. Orientations are scheduled every third Saturday of the month. Volunteers are not allowed to attend orientation until all required application, forms, and interview are completed.
Requirements to maintain active account:
Complete at least 30 hours over the year, at least one shift per month, from attending Orientation
Attend all mandatory training.

Here are the following way individuals or groups can participate with us:
One-time Service Opportunity- Great for individuals and groups*, looking for specific service days to sign up for an event or specific shift to complete 2-4 hours at The DoSeum. (These individuals or groups will not need to go through full application process)
Episodic Service Opportunity- Great for individuals or groups* who can’t commit a lot of time, but would like to come 3-5 times in a year. (These individuals or groups will not need to go through full application process)
Short Term Opportunity- Great for individuals looking to volunteer during holiday and summer breaks and can commit to one consecutive week of service to maximum six (6) months of service. Some examples include, Gallery Attendant, Camp Assistance or projects.
Long- Term Opportunity- For those committed individuals who would like to serve a minimum of 1-5 times a month for a minimum of six (6) months to a year or more. Some examples include working with weekly programming/Field Experiences, Gallery Attendant, joining our Volunteer Leadership Team, etc.
